Course overview

This virtual reality program offers an immersive therapeutic environment tailored for individuals dealing with Acrophobia, the fear of heights. Users engage in guided simulations and expert-led scenarios, navigating realistic height-related situations. The aim is to provide a structured and supportive platform to help users overcome their fear of heights, promoting a sense of confidence and resilience in facing elevated environments.

Initiating this VR experience involves a few steps. Simply follow the pop-ups and voice prompts provided.

1. Begin with an introductory pop-up.

2. Follow instructions to teleport to the next scene by gripping or clicking the tree trunk.

3. Teleported to the city center, showcasing several tall buildings.

4. After exploring the city center, you'll automatically transition to the first therapy: jumping over a sewer.

5. A few minutes after passing the sewer, you'll teleport in front of Building B and then be directed to enter it.

6. Upon entering the building, you'll be guided to climb the stairs to the 3rd floor, or you can press the red button to teleport directly to the 3rd floor.

7. On the 3rd floor, you'll be directed to the second therapy: crossing a bridge while looking down.

   - View of the bridge on the 3rd floor. After crossing the 3rd-floor bridge, you'll be directed to climb to the 10th floor.

8. Upon reaching the 10th floor, you'll be instructed for the third therapy: crossing a bridge on the 10th floor while picking up flags placed beside the bridge.

   - View of the 10th floor with flags to be collected.

   - View from the 10th floor looking down.

9. After crossing the 10th-floor bridge, you'll be directed to climb the stairs to the 20th floor.

10. On the 20th floor, you'll be guided for the fourth therapy: crossing a bridge while popping balloons placed on the bridge.

   - View of the bridge on the 20th floor looking down.

11. After crossing the bridge on the 20th floor, you can descend using the elevator in front of you by pressing the red button.

   - Press the black button to descend.

12. Upon reaching the 1st floor, you have successfully completed the therapy.

These are the various stages in the development process of the VR mental health therapy for individuals with Acrophobia.
